Reports To: Information Technology Manager
Purpose of Role
Provide reporting, dashboards and analysis of data for Eduvate in order for the business to make informed decisions regarding, educational efficacy, operations, growth and expansion. Business Intelligence has a two pronged responsibility. The first is to provide insights and intelligence to improve the learner and parent experience as well as efficacy. The second is to drive internal efficiency, cost savings to ensure that Eduvate continues to offer high quality education globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (routers, printers etc.)
- Check computer hardware (HDD, mouses, keyboards etc.) to ensure functionality
- Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications
- Develop and maintain local networks in ways that optimise performance
- Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems
- Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment
- Organise and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their work
- Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging etc.)
- Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule
- Identify computer or network equipment shortages and place orders
- Perform quarterly IT Asset audit
- Update and maintain IT Asset Register
- Safeguard and take responsibility for all IT Assets
- Implement and maintain IT Asset tracking through serial numbers and relevant tracking software
- Update and maintain IT Support Log with IT request logged by users
- Assist with Website, Online Portal and other UI / UX work by applying basic knowledge of HTML/CSS as well as WordPress.
- Work with Business Intelligence to Integrate data from various back-end services and databases
This position may require the candidate/ employee to work extended or overtime hours due to the 24/7 support nature of this position as and when required by the company in case of an emergency or over high volume periods e.g. application period, etc.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as IT Technician, Junior Developer or relevant position
- Excellent diagnostic and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication ability
- Outstanding organisational and time-management skills
- In depth understanding of diverse computer systems and networks
- Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles
- Experience working in web development, HTML/CSS or WordPress is an advantage
- Basic knowledge of Search Engine Optimisation process is beneficial
