Purpose of Role
The role of the teacher is to use the Eduvate curriculum to develop teaching plans specific to their chosen subject field. An Eduvate teacher will be teaching live classes daily online according to the school timetable. It is essential that the teacher Is passionate about their subject to facilitate learners to develop their subject skills and their Individual personalities. Additionally, it is imperative that the teacher Is able to organise and control an online classroom, creating an engaging, holistic learning environment. Teachers area required to attend weekly staff meetings, set up and manage teacher/ parent meetings as well as escalate parent/ learner complaints to management.
Key Responsibilities
- Create lesson plans and present online classes in a clear, inclusive, and engaging way.
- Provide adaptable tuition to each student by promoting interactive learning.
- Creation, distribution, and collection of education content. (notes, assignments, etc.)
- Plan and execute educational activities.
- Create records of learner progress and provide grading and feedback.
- Collaborate with other teachers, tutors, and parents.
- Regular meeting participation.
- Progress and improve professional skills and knowledge by attending PD training.
- Regular reporting to management on learner performance highlighting under performers and corrective actions in place, challenges experienced, suggested improvements to curriculum / content or lesson plans and any training requirements identified.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in teaching/education or;
- Bachelor’s Degree in a specialized subject area with a certificate in education
- SACE Certification
- Minimum 2-years proven experience as a teacher
- Other qualifications considered an advantage.
- Thorough knowledge of teaching best practices and legal educational guidelines partnered with a willingness to follow the Eduvate policies and procedures
